Just a friendly reminder that there are two public Open Houses happening on Tuesday March 20th :

  1. 4 Windward Drive (Casablanca Inn) – Zoning Amendment and Official Plan Amendment
  2. Section 37 Planning Act – Height and Density Bonusing – Zoning Amendment and Official Plan Amendment

Just when you thought the buildings in Grimsby couldn’t get any higher, 4 Windward Drive is being proposed at 22 and 19 storeys.

PLEASE COME TO THE MEETING AND SPEAK UP — SHOULD THE SKY BE THE LIMIT?

Note that the developer for Century Condos (6 Doran Ave/21-23 Main St E) will be proposing “height bonusing” (financial or a “community benefit” to the Town) to 8 storeys where 4 storeys is permitted at a public Open House scheduled for March 27th.

Although a public Open House was held by the developer on March 1st  (to “test the waters” – – they found that it was exceptionally hot), the development application will be presented for the first time on March 27th to the Planning Committee with a statutory second Public Meeting to be scheduled following it.
