After a nearly three-hour closed session Special Meeting of Council on Monday, it appears the Town is forging ahead with civil action against responsible parties for the Biodigester debacle.

The “green energy” project on Sobie Road swallowed up more money than biomass, leading to questions that went unanswered by it’s former management, many of whom came from the previous term of Council.

The budgeted $3.5 million project ballooned, eating through approximately $15 million of money that for the most part should have benefited the taxpayer. It should be interesting to learn exactly where all or most of that money went.

Who or what entities will be named as defendants in any legal action is yet to be disclosed, but it does not take a stretch of the imagination to come up with that list.
