We are back again with the third installment of “HTV”. Before we dig in, a big “tip of the hat” to our readers… these posts are very popular and we appreciate your time in reading them. But back to the business at hand, or the business at the hands of Council to be more precise. This time we will look at how Council handled the Odyssey Condominium project AKA 10 Windward Drive, a project which is currently in the early sales phase.
With temperatures finally climbing, if you feel a need to beat the heat… Town Hall is always a great place to do so during the week. And this week will offer up quite a few opportunities to do so.

The Town will be hosting a statutory public meeting at June 19th’s Planning & Development Committee meeting to discuss proposed changes to height/density bonusing in the Official Plan and Zoning By-Law.
Despite the short agenda of just a few delegations and agenda items, the April 16th Council meeting was definitely “eventful”.

On February 21st , Regional Councillor for Grimsby, Tony Quirk engaged the community and public on his Facebook page about the proposed 8-storey Century Condos development in our Downtown. This was prior to the developer’s Open House on March 1st and the Town’s Open House which will be held on March 27th .
We hope to see you all at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 27th at the Planning & Development Committee Open House for the proposed Century Condos development (21, 23 Main Street East and 6 Doran Ave) in the Downtown – Main Street area. March 20th Planning & Development Committee
A big THANK YOU! to everyone who made the effort to come out to the two Planning & Development Committee Open Houses held at Town Hall on Tuesday, March 20th. The Council Chambers were overflowing with standing room only in the foyer.
Just a friendly reminder that there are two public Open Houses happening on Tuesday March 20th :
- 4 Windward Drive (Casablanca Inn) – Zoning Amendment and Official Plan Amendment
- Section 37 Planning Act – Height and Density Bonusing – Zoning Amendment and Official Plan Amendment
Just when you thought the buildings in Grimsby couldn’t get any higher, 4 Windward Drive is being proposed at 22 and 19 storeys.
